We visited this long, skinny country of mountains and fjords in late summer, 2010. It's a magically diverse land that is 75% mountainous. Jagged, fairy-tale peaks seem to rise straight out of the ocean and fjords. Tiny fishing villages splash color along the shorelines. We were fortunate to trek hut to hut in Jotunheimen National Park, translated as "Home Of The Giants", and summit Galdhøpiggen, Norway's tallest peak at 2,469 meters. We also traveled north of the Arctic Circle and across the Lofoten Islands, fishing villages in an indescribable setting.
