I just returned from a four-day trip in the heart of the American west - Colorado and Wyoming's sagebrush sea. This journey was an exploration of northwest Colorado, near Craig; then north into Wyoming's Red Desert. This is spectacular, desolate, rugged country that is severely threatened by oil and gas industrialization. In fact, I just added a new sage gallery to begin documenting the beauty, threats and conservation work in the American west. Today, Adobe Town in the heart of the Red Desert, is threatened by a plan for natural gas drilling. This large scale industrialization destroys fragile lands and wildlife habitat. Go to Biodiversity Conservation Alliance in "Links" to find out where to submit your comment to stop the drilling.
