Sunrise Strut

Moffatt County, CO

As sunrise lights magenta cliffs, a Greater Sage-grouse male displays with full intensity, his air sacs fully inflated, head disappearing into his white collar. In seven seasons of witnessing Sage-grouse on this lek, or mating ground, I've watched a steady decline from as many as 100 birds to around 20 individuals in the spring of 2021. Their decline matches a range-wide reduction in Sage-grouse populations, indicative of the overall health of the sagebrush ecosystem.

DuraPlaq Mounted

The Duraplaq Standard substrate is a 3/8" HDF board that is 100% recycled, environmentally friendly and is pre-laminated on both sides and finished with a "box" frame. The finished picture has a clean look and the matte laminate greatly reduces glare, allowing you to see the image. Duraplaq mounted prints can be cleaned with your normal glass cleaning products and are extremely durable.
